PRO-CLIMATE Partners Meet in Leipzig for the 5th General Assembly

On 4–5 February 2026, the PRO-CLIMATE consortium gathered in Leipzig, Germany, for its 5th General Assembly Meeting. The aim was to review progress, align upcoming activities, and strengthen collaboration across work packages and Living Labs.

The meeting opened with a comprehensive project update, focusing on how PRO-CLIMATE results can more effectively reach policymakers at European, national, and local levels. Partners discussed concrete pathways to enhance policy uptake, including engagement with the Committee of the Regions and participation in the European Week of Regions and Cities.

A strong emphasis was placed on demonstrating replication potential beyond the existing project areas. Discussions highlighted the importance of showcasing Living Lab experiences in broader European policy forums and networks to maximise the project’s long-term impact.

Each Work Package presented progress, challenges, and next steps. A key highlight of the meeting was the series of presentations by the Living Labs. Partners shared updates on stakeholder engagement, workshops, communication activities, and innovative local actions.

Looking Ahead: The General Assembly concluded with key management and coordination decisions, including preparations for upcoming deliverables, scientific publications, and the final project event.

With strong collaboration across partners and a focus on policy relevance, replication, and tangible outputs, the Leipzig meeting marked an important step in consolidating PRO-CLIMATE’s contribution to inclusive and socially just climate governance in Europe.
