A workshop was held on November 6th, 2024, in Coventry, United Kingdom organised by Coventry University.
The workshop brought together representatives from “WP4 Good governance and behavioural change” and change agents from all the six PRO-CLIMATE Living Labs (LL). The workshop was organised by Ann-Marie Nienaber and Kindy Sandhu, leaders of WP4.
The workshop served as a pivotal moment for the project, focusing on frameworks and strategies for effective stakeholder engagement and behavioural change—key elements in advancing climate resilience. It provided a valuable opportunity to establish connections, align expectations, and initiate collaborative efforts toward the project’s goals.
A core objective was to foster a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities in systemic climate adaptation. Participants engaged in discussions on behavioural change frameworks, the role of good governance, and stakeholder engagement, working together to define their change visions and pinpoint critical behavioural shifts necessary for climate resilience.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the six Living Labs, each addressing unique climate challenges. Located in Sligo (Ireland), Leipzig (Germany), Badajoz (Spain), Bergen (Norway), Gdańsk (Poland), and Zakynthos (Greece), these Living Labs serve as innovation hubs for testing, refining, and upscaling adaptation strategies.
Through dialogue, co-creation, and cross-learning, the workshop laid the foundation for capacity-building and collective action. Moving forward, the PRO-CLIMATE project will continue to support knowledge exchange and collaboration, ensuring that behavioural change remains central to climate adaptation efforts over the next years.
